My passion for pottery started around 20 years ago when I started to attend classes at SCOLA in Sutton. I successfully completed a 2 year BTEC Diploma in Ceramics in 2009. I work from a small studio in my home and produce wheel thrown porcelain and white stoneware functional items such as pasta/tapas dishes, olive bowls, dip and dunk sets. Also thrown porcelain t light holders with varying stamped designs that become translucent when lit. Decoration is applied through slips and sgrafitto, stamped designs and inlay. I believe the pieces I produce should be functional and give pleasure when they are used. The feel of the pot in the hand and while being used is very important to me and I have countless pots acquired over the years from other makers that give me endless pleasure. I hope that my pots may please others in turn.
