Gavin tends to paint quickly prefering acrylic paint for this reason. His varied subjects are a result of curiosity in our perception of the world and a joyful wonder at the effects of light. He has experienced eyesight problems, he says about capturing detail and texture: “..is like preserving vision and making the most of what I've seen..” Gavin has completed commissions for private and corporate customers. He has exhibited in the UK, America and France at a variety of venues including the Mall Galleries of London. He received an Artist Of the Year award 2016 from the Society Of All Artists.
